The all-new 2010 GMC Terrain made its world debut at the 2009 New York International Auto. GMC Terrain is a five-seat crossover SUV that combines bold styling with fuel efficiency and higher functions.

A new engine of 2.4 L four-cylinder direct-injection is expected to offer the best in class fuel economy of 30 mpg highway. Maximum fuel economy is achieved in part with an "ECO" mode that is activated via a button mounted on the console. When activated, it reduces the speed of locking torque converter to 1125 rpm to save fuel on models with 2.4L engine.
Also available is a 3.0L DOHC direct-injection V-6 engine provides an estimate of 264 horsepower (197 kW). Both engines are mated to promote efficient six-speed automatic and offers a refined driving experience safer.
"GMC is a strong brand and a base for GM and GMC Terrain SUV crossover is the latest example of how we adapt to changing market conditions," said Docherty. "Since we first demonstrated the Acadia crossover, GMC is committed to providing customers can find vehicles with the technology staff that they expect."
